Swingers Deeper Meaning

                The movie swingers has a deeper meaning than the romantic comedy that plays along the surface. The movie seems to have an example of setting up your career goals and what they should be. Now while I think the movie also plays more to the romantic comedy factor, well I think that it plays more so towards the relationship factor, there is a interesting play on career goals which is very simple. You need to put forth the effort.

                I say this because of the ending. By the end of the movie the main character meets a girl who makes him forget about all his past experience and who happens to be an entertainment lawyer. Now for an aspiring actor and comedian he definitely could use her as a source. Then he gives her his business card to write her information down on and she comments on it. It seems like they made it very pertinent that she noticed what was on his card.

                Now personally I think the meaning of the film extends more so for life rather than just a business sense. I say this because he doesn’t feel that his life is getting better until he finally lets the past go and strives to take it for himself. You will not get a job, you will not get the girl you will not get anything that you do not reach out and work for it. So for the sake of the assignment though I view the meaning of the film to extend to more than business and networking we will say that is all it extends to. However the film did put important aspects on being yourself and ready for anything which are also great ways to look at how you want to place yourself in a business environment.

Profile Statements

I am a visual artist, my goals in my career are  to advance for my benefit and my employers. I have skills to offer and consider myself a Jack of all trades and a master of none. However I believe I can help whoever my employer is with the skills that I have and become close to a master of all and make myself an asset that you will always want on your side.

I am a Multimedia Design Artist with experience in most every field in the pipeline. I have training in 3D modeling, 3D Animation, 2D Animation, Visual Effects, Video Editing, Fine Arts, and Concept Design. I am fluent in using most software including Autodesk Maya, Adobe Creative cloud, Z Brush, and Autodesk Mudbox. As well as using other programs such as Quixel Suites and Substance Designer. I would be a great addition to the company and an asset you would always want by your side.

Experienced multimedia artist skilled at using 3d modeling software, visual effects and video editing software,  digital drawing software, and traditional arts. Hard worker with prior management experience. Good at working in groups and will strive in any position you need me in.

 Sweet Charity Evaluation

In class we were assigned to write up a short evaluation on what one of the female characters in the film Sweet Charity, had done wrong in her interview situation, as well as what she did right. So we open on a scene where the job prospectee is walking into a building trying to get out of the Taxi Dance buisness. Now before she went in she already had her first problem. Which was the way she was dressed, the office she went to was a very drab setting so when she came into the interview wearing bright clothing and scarfs that were not traditional to the environment that was a big nono. What she should've done was evaluate the office beforehand and see what they wore.

She then went into the interview not even knowing the position she was applying for or what they had to offer. This would be another thing to research when you are applying for a new job. The next item up for bid was that she has zero experience but is expecting a job. She also durign the interview replied no to each question before the interviewer even got them out. This could appear standoffish. She should have replied I do not have experience but I am willing to learn. Is there a course by chance you can offer. Lastly at the end she started buersting into tears and begging for a job. THis is unbecoming and cause the interviewer to think it was a joke.

She, to be honest did not do much right except shoe up to the interview motivated to start. That is where it all starts is getting up and doing. Which is a lesson that all of us can afford to learn. Nothing will happen without the will to make it happen. This concludes my short evaluation.

Toon Boom Releases new version

All animators in the 2D field know the program it has revolutionized the way we do 2D animation including being able to make a rig for a 2 D character, Makin 15 hand drawn frames become one hand drawn that you can move. Well Toon Boom has released the latest version of the software. THe article basically speaks of all of the new features in the program that any animator should take advantage of.
Some of the new features listed are different blurs even a spiral blur that you can use to animate things like water going down a drain. Lens flares, an amazing feature to be honest, because now you have no need to design the lens flare yourself and can be a regular old michael bay.. Quixel Suites

Quixel Suites is a relatively new program for modeling and texturing, Frankly it is not very well known but is a great program for its price. It runs about 150 dollars for the indie pack that allows a commercial use up to 10,000 dollars a year. As a matter of fact the program was actually only announced last year around October. This is a very relative article to the class because in our field anything that can make you more productive makes you more of an asset. The article is very simple describing what the programs plans are and what they will have to offer eventually. I actually purchased it myself and have to say for the buck you pay the bang is evident.

The article also shows and discusses something I myself am fairly excited for. That is the Megasscans section that they are working on for the program. The Megascans is to be a library of premade textures that are royalty free, The will be editable using normal maps and all of the other features that the program offers.

I would recommend this program to anyone, like any program though there is a learning curve it is not really easy to master and the process can get confusing for first time users. However to anyone in the field I would recommend checking it out at least doing the trial version of it and give it a good old fashion test run. Remember the field is competitive and anything that gives you an edge over the competition is a necessity
